We reviewed about history, symptoms, developmental dynamics, diagnosis and treatment of borderline personality disorder under the psychoanalytic concept. It is an increasing tendency that many authers suppose that borderline patient has an unique personally structure and defined as a specific disease entity. We find most of them advised that structural diagnosis is very useful method for confirming accurate diagnosis, which is composed of traditional mental status extuamination and psychoanalytically oriented interview.
